in ocean containers. We are currently seeking an experienced Hay Purchaser for our company in Pocatello, Idaho. Your passion for the

agriculture industry and sound knowledge of hay will make you a great candidate.

Responsibility:

– Procure a targeted volume of alfalfa hay per request annually.

– Working with farmers to maintain and develop supplier relationships.

– Accurately grading hay at harvest and buying it directly from growers

– Working closely with the Sales department to understand the market and assisting when customers visit to inspect and purchase hay

– Inventory management for field stacks, dispatching for inbound trucking to warehouse

– Quality control for field stacks

Qualifications and Skills

– 3 years of similar experience in farming, such as livestock, grains, fruit, or other comparable experience, is preferred.

– Experience with vendor relationship management and future forecasting

– Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels

– Comfortable working with a globally distributed team

– Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
